On Saturday, May 3rd, eleven students from Woodlands Prep traveled to the TCU campus in Ft. Worth, Texas for the state Private School Interscholastic Association (PSIA) single A tournament. Though just making it to the state tournament is an accomplishment, five of the students brought home medals in six events. Special congratulations go out to the following students:

Denim & Diamond co-chairs Mia Harpel, Sarah Redfield, Lisa Biagi, and Wendy Nelson helped raise over $70,000 on April 26, 2008, at Augusta Pines Country Club during the gala held in honor of The Woodlands Preparatory School. The co-chairs will work with the board to put the money towards campus improvements and extra-curricular science and math activities at the private K-12 non-sectarian college preparatory school.
The Woodlands Preparatory School had three students place at the recent TAAPS middle school boy’s state golf tournament at the Pecan Valley Course in Fort Worth. Led by Coach David Roddy, eighth grader Daegan Elsborg took 5th place, eighth grader Alex Ferraro 3rd place, and seventh grader Andrew Blaschke came in 1st with a four over par in the nine hole tournament.
